Ben Pollard

Ben Pollard runs Local Welcome: a charity in the UK that makes it fun and easy to cook and eat with refugees in folks' local community. As they say, in a divided world, making the time to connect with someone different from yourself is a radical act.

Ben began his career documenting and supporting displaced communities in Bangladesh, East Africa and Zimbabwe before training as a community organiser in Washington DC and London where he co-founded the Citizens UK campaign to increase Syrian refugee resettlement.
